Aurora refers to the name of the Roman Goddess of sunshine whose tears turned into the morning dew in Roman mythology. The radiant aurora is also associated with the scientific term- Northern lights, aurora borealis.

The Central Board of year 2016-2017 aims to lead the student body to higher skies and see the light that is with us all. Moreover through this theme, we would like schoolmates to discover and admire the wonders that are within themselves, just like how the aurora borealis shows themselves to us. With the light only being seen in the dark, it hence symbolises hope and comfort, which corresponds to the fact that we, the Central Board Excos, are always here for everyone. As unity illustrates strength, it associates with the aurora borealis- always covering a huge area when it occurs, indicating how we, the exco members shine bright as one, and how we can illuminate a massive landscape, guiding our schoolmates to the bright side.
